Resumen
O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a efetivação da Política da Assistência Social no município de Recife, que nos últimos anos vem nacionalmente sendo regulamentada enquanto direito social, entretanto, evidencia, nos municípiosbrasileiros, diversas limitações no que se refere a sua implementação. Destaca os improvisos e a falta de prioridade política e financeira para estruturar a assistência social. Mostra, por outro lado, a organização política das/dos trabalhadoras (es) da assistência social, que lutam, dentro dos limites institucionais, tanto por seus direitos trabalhistas quanto pela assistência social.Palavras-chave: Assistência social, política social, direito social.ONE WAY TO GO THROUGH: Challenges of the effectiveness of the social assistance policy in the municipality of RecifeAbstract: The original aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the Social Policy in the municipality of Recife,which, in recent years, throughout the Brazil, has been gradually considered regulated as a Social Right, however is it evident in many other Brazilian cities the existence of several limitations regarding its implementation. In Recife, we can highlight improvisations and lack of political priority and financial structure for Social Assistance itself. On the other hand, we have the political organization of the social workers, who struggle for ? within the institutional limits ? both their labor rights and social assistance.Key words: Social assistance, social policy, social rights.
