Resumen
This research focuses on the applicability of the FIFO assumption to describe congregative vehicle drop-by behavior in order to understand the congregative performance of an expressway parking area, with using both the results of a field survey and the data of vehicles entering and exiting a parking area collected by ETC probe timestamps. The results show that FIFO assuming time lags follow the actual transition of hourly characteristics of vehicle stays of the area. These findings show that it could be possible to determine the congregative performance of expressway parking area analyzed by the ingress and egress timestamps.
