Resumen
Road transport plays an important role in the process of shaping economic efficiency. Over the period considered, the number of road freight transport companies that went bankrupt increased. The aim of the article is to assess the financial condition of road freight transport companies using discriminant methods and to determine whether the surveyed companies are developing or are in danger of falling. The research was carried out in relation to entities that publish their financial statements, are limited liability companies and have their registered office in Gdansk.
