Resumen
Este trabajo anaiza las reformas a los sistemas de pensiones que se realizon en os últimos años en Argentina y Chile, bajo un abordaje comparado. El objetivo es caracterizar los cambios en el rol del Estado en materia de seguridad social a patir de los cambios introducidos para solucionar la cuestión de la extensión de la cobertura y afrontar los problemas del financiamento. La hipótesis que maneja este artículo es que, si bien se reorienta el papel estatal en la provisión de la seguridad social, los derroteros seguidos en ambos casos traducirán el tipo de régimen de bienestar asumido por cada país. It's goal is to characterize the changes in the role of the state in social security considering the changes introduced to address the question of extending coverage and addressing the problems of funding. The hypothesis that drives this paper is that, although the State role was reoriented in provision of social security, the paths folowed in bth cases translate that this kind of welfare regime assumed by each country will translate each countries reality.Keywords: Argentina, Chle, social security, retirement, welfare scheme.
