Resumen

The Arctic zone of Russia is important in the areas of economy and defense of the country. Therefore, the provision of communications to the population, business, and government agencies of the area is of paramount importance today. In addition, the need for the development of backbone integrated communication networks is increasingly evident for the development of transport communications, aviation communications, tourism, etc. The purpose of the article is to consider the advantages and disadvantages of creating an integrated communication network in the areas of the Arctic zone and its interaction with the country's main integrated communication networks, both departmental and state-wide. The result of the research will be the selection of the most optimal type of communication (fiber-optic communication lines, relay, tropospheric, satellite, short-wave communication lines or their combination), as well as proposals for the development of an Integrated Communication Network in the Far North in the interests of business of various departments, power unit and population. A list of telecommunications equipment and system integration platforms are provided which, by their characteristics, meet the requirements for use in the Arctic zone and support work on both low-speed (satellite) and high-speed communication lines.
