Resumen

AbstractManagement and environmental change. The firm currently operates in a fast-changing environment in which variables such as technology, the economy and social change create a complex and often unstable environment. The creation of new and often complex goods and services through technological innovation poses new marketing, production and financial problems for management. To keep the firm in equilibrium with this changing environment requires changes in management. It is therefore necessary that management carefully consider the management of change and that management education incorporate the education of managers of change. This calls for a greater environmental awareness by management, changes in management approaches and more multidisciplinary research and environmental scanning as aids to management.
