Resumen
The art of hosting is an innovative methodology for hosting conversations about questions that matter, linking and building conversations on each other as people move between groups, to cross-pollinate ideas and to discover new insights into the questions or issues that are most important in their lives. The art of hosting conversation can evoke the collective intelligence of any group, increasing the capacity for effective action in pursuit of common aims. In this paper, we examine the art of hosting conversations to find emergent and sustainable solutions to the complex challenges faced by organizations and communities Using discoveries made by cognitive scientists about the social nature of learning as the foundation, we analyze how this process fosters authentic dialogue and generates conversation about questions that matter in organizations and in communities.Keywords: conversation, dialogue, hosting, collective intelligence.
