Resumen
The main subject of the author?s research undertaken in this paper has been to analyse of the factors determining effective and potential demand as well as the supply fluctuations of transport services. Characterising the reasons, types and the amplitude of the demand fluctuations and assessing them in terms of their impact on transport markets mechanism, the main criteria for evaluating the efficiency of transport markets functioning have been assigned. Such an efficiency has been perceived in logistics and transport terms, i.e. typical for assessment of supply chain effectiveness. It has been predominantly related to the sphere of demand?s meeting of the market mechanism. The main research objective has been to work out a conception of assigning of the transport market equilibrium based on the highest efficiency of meeting of the transport needs in logistics terms. Carrying out such an objective it has been amounted to work out a model of transport market equilibrium. To reach such a goal it has been necessary to use the probability theory and particularly themass theory and queuing theory.
