Resumen
The issue of interest in this study is two-fold. First the evolution of Nolans Stage Model is presented. Next, the study discusses adapting Nolans stage theory into a framework that is an adaptable data management measurement tool. An exploratory measurement tool is developed, tested and refined. This research confirms that a valid measure is possible and that different data management maturity stages have certain characteristics that are important to the emerging knowledge necessary to manage enterprise-wide data as a valuable business resource.
