Resumen
This paper aims to propose the development of a knowledge and information management framework in the Crocodile River system in South Africa. A complexity and resilience analysis is performed to evaluate the myriad issues, socio-ecological perspectives and problems within the catchment. We start with a theoretical overview to develop a conceptual model of the system. The conceptual model provides a logical and graphic representation of the various components of the system (Studer et. al., 1998). The paper explores Bayesian networks in conjunction with influence diagrams as methods of illustrating the layers of complex interactions in the Crocodile?s ecological systems. , this paper provides a method of managing and understanding the diverse information within the catchment.
