Resumen

Discussions on data obtained on the campus of the State University of Maringá through Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings are provided. The procedure used in in situ tests was different from those specified by the Brazilian Technical Norms and Standards. Some of the main variables involved are analyzed and discussed.
