Resumen

This document is a brief history of the evolution of Central Banking in Colombia, beginning with the period of history known as the Regeneration Colombia, passing Kemmerer mission, the end of the gold standard, the creation of the Monetary Board, up to the independence of the Bank of the Republic in 1991.
