Resumen
Este artigo discute o processo de desintegração do controle masculino sobre o feminino, resultante não apenas da redefinição do papel da mulher na sociedade atual, mas também das transformações históricas ocorridas, que colocaram em questão o mito da masculinidade em razão de uma nova forma de definição de ser homem, pautada em conflitos no âmbito da subjetividade e da intimidade. Reune-se, pois, neste texto, elementos que possam contribuir para uma reflexão sobre o ideal masculino construído sob a égide supostamente inabalável do arquétipo masculino dominador da sociedade patriarcal.Palavras-chave: Sociedade patriarcal, dominação masculina, crise da masculinidade.THE PREVAILING PATTERN OF MASCULINITY IN QUESTIONAbstract: This article will discusses the process of disintegration of masculine control over the feminine one, what not only comes from the redefinition of women´s role in society today, but also from the historical transformations that have occurred and thus questioned the myth of masculinity. A new definition of what actually is to become a man has been presented, based on conflicts in the spheres of subjectivity and intimacy. We'll try, therefore, to put together, in this article, elements that can contribute towards a reflection about the masculine ideal that is based upon the supposedly unfailing masculine dominator archetype in patriarchal society.Keywords: Patriarchal society, masculine domination, crisis of masculinity
