Resumen
Graduates of the marketing expertise competency at SMK Pharmasi Semarang are not in accordance with the competencies required by DUDI as a medical representative. The purpose of this study was to analyze strategies for increasing the competency of medical representatives in terms of learning, collaboration with DUDI, and human resource development (teachers). This study used a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation and then the data was reduced. Analysis of the medical representative learning strategy using the mock detailing method still has shortcomings, it requires learning outside the classroom in the form of practice detailing directly to the doctor. School collaboration with DUDI in the form of making industry-based schools is still in the stage of preparing proposals. Human resource development (teacher) is carried out education or training of productive marketing teachers with an on the job training approach in the department store. Analysis of competency improvement strategies for medical representatives can be applied to industry-based learning by collaborating with DUDI in establishing industrial class
