Resumen
Applied phytochemistry can improve the translational tissue engineering, by selective triggering of specific biological processes, ensuring a low impact on cell viability and the overall biocompatibility. Better knowledge of the synergic action of saponins, and the determination of the most effective concentrations, can be used in the production of biomedical scaffolds for critical-sized bone defects, and for long-term bone repairs in such patients with chronic degenerative processes of bone tissue.
