Resumen
In competitive sports, excellent posture and stability are required for competitive performance and are largely dependent on the level of sport participation and the specific movements and forces created by the individual kind of sport. In this study, we compared different sports using multiple posturographic tests under four bipedal conditions among women. Significant differences were observed between technical sports (ski jumping, diving, and gymnastics) and basketball and recreational athletes. These results provide coaches and athletes with a more sport-specific view and may potentially identify deficits in posture regulation to improve athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury.
