Preparation and Impact Resistance Properties of Hybrid Silicone-Ceramics Composites

Resumen

The developed hybrid silicone-ceramic composite can be used as a ballistic inserts in bulletproof vests, which was confirmed by the conducted research. Obtained results indicates that the developed hybrid silicone-ceramic composites are characterized by higher values of the V50 parameter for the FSP.22 fragment compared to the currently used, traditional, ballistic hard plates with a comparable surface mass.
