Resumen
This comprehensive epidemiological analysis provides detailed insight into epidemiological trends of ischemic heart disease and cardiac interventions in Mediterranean countries. Variations among countries are mainly attributable to different levels of preventive care, disease patterns, and distinctive characteristics of their healthcare system. Based on the results of this study, future analyses should be focused on exploring sex differences and the appropriateness of cardiac interventions in clinical settings. There is a need to implement country-tailored and effective primary prevention strategies.
